Background

Amanda was born in Port Shepstone, Natal and came from a family of five children of which she was the fourth. After completing high school, she studied a B.Sc. at the University of Pretoria. She worked full time as a teacher at a high school for 3 years. She married Roly and by God's Grace they have now been married for more than 30 years! Roly works for a Private hospital group.

They have three children:

  • Renè, married to Herman Ohlhoff. They live in London where René is now a fulltime mommy to Elianah, our grandaughter;
  • Cornè has completed his studies as a Biokinetisist and has his own business in Cape Town;
  • Debbi has completed her physiotherapy degree and is also working at a hospital in London where she is studying for her master's degree.

Amanda and Roly strongly believe that the family is called together as a unit in ministry. Strong family ties are emphasized with Godly order in place. Allthough it is not always possible for Roland to travel with Amanda on her ministry trips, he does as often his work allows.

Material & Resources

Amanda has been called into a teaching and prophetic ministry. Her main gifting has been to find ways to present God's Father Heart to His children in the clearest possible way. Much of her material is now available on DVD/video/audio tapes, manuals and booklets.

Roly has also written books on the understanding of our Hebraic roots - understanding the Messianic perspective of the feasts and how to restore the Family Blessings - the important role of the fathers!

Ministry In South Africa

Kanaan Ministries has been under the covering and mentorship of Pastors Edward and Dalene Gibbens of River of Life Church in Vanderbijlpark, South Africa, for the past twenty-five years.

Amanda works together with the prayer leaders of South Africa, ministering on cleansing the soldiers and training for war. Many churches and fellowship groups in South Africa and abroad are using the manuals and videos to teach and train their leaders and members on how to live a life of victory.

Amanda is a regular speaker at National Prayer Conferences and has been part of a small international team that travelled throughout South Africa to selected high places to do strategic warfare.

She and Roland also do many weekend seminars for different church denominations as well as camp meetings for men, for women, couples and families.

Amanda ministers in prisons and the Soul Care School videos are being used in the prisons with great benefit and blessings.

As we all know, healing of the soul does not happen overnight - it is a process. We, the Church, His Bride, need to be healed inwardly to be soldiers of stature. It is our responsibility to know who the enemy is, what our weapons are, how to use our weapons effectively and what our strategy is. Then we will be ready for battle!

International Ministry

Amanda has travelled to Europe, often two to three times per annum over the past 15 years, visiting mainly Germany and Switzerland. We have built good relationships with these churches and God is doing powerful work in their lives!

Amanda has also ministered in Portugal, Austria (Maria Prean), Italy, Taiwan and USA. Some of our material has been translated into Portuguese, French and the most has been translated into German and Italian and is in the process of being translated into Chinese. The International Ministry has been founded on the principle of relations based on the joining together of like-minded ministries who recognized the calling of spiritual fathering and mothering, i.e. the release of generational blessings.

They have submitted this ministry under the covering body of Stiftung B/e/t/e (Basel for Unity, Transformation and Revival) with respect to the European mission trips. They represent a large portion of the leadership of Fathers and Mothers in Switzerland.
