Pesach (Passover)

Start:
March 25, 2013

Pesach (Passover) begins SUNDOWN, 25 March 2013.

For more information, see our book “A Messianic Perspective Of The Spring Feasts”.

There are several reasons we have adopted to use the Hillel II calendar (the rabbi who lived in the 300′s who is attributed to validating the current calendar):

  1. Unity.  The entire Jewish world uses the Hillel calendar (current Hebrew calendar) and most all Christians are used to this calendar.  To introduce a new calendar only adds confusion.
  2. We do not want to appear arrogant to our Jewish bretheren by telling them that their calendar is wrong.  We are trying to win them for Messiah, not push them away even more.
  3. We believe that YHVH (GOD) has validated this calendar by the mere fact that both history and the stars line up with it.  Most of the bad things that have happened to Israel since it became a state have happened on the 9th of Av using the current Jewish calendar.  But, the most compelling evidence is that there have been only three solar/lunar tetrad eclipses (four in one twelve month period) in the last 2,000 years and every single one of them fall on Biblical Feast days according to only one calendar … the current Hebrew calendar (1492, 1948, 1967 … interesting isn’t it?).

So, for these reasons and more, we will be using the Hillel II calendar from here on out to follow the Feast Days of our LORD.
